Dr. Caitlin Doody, PhD, APRN, FNP-BC, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner at New York Center for Integrative Health and a recognized specialist in Lyme disease and complex tick-borne illnesses. She is known for her expertise in diagnosing and treating both acute and chronic Lyme disease in pediatric and adult patients, particularly in cases involving persistent symptoms, co-infections, and delayed or missed diagnoses.
Dr. Doody practices through a functional and integrative medicine approach, focusing on uncovering the root causes of illness and delivering highly individualized care. She combines evidence-based medicine with clinical expertise to develop targeted treatment plans that address immune dysfunction, inflammation, and the full complexity of tick-borne disease.
Her doctoral research explored the relationship between PTSD and uncertainty in chronic Lyme disease, adding to the growing understanding of the neurological and psychological impact of these conditions. With over a decade of clinical experience—including training in neurology and interdisciplinary care at major New York academic medical centers—she brings both depth and precision to her work.
In addition to her clinical role, Dr. Doody serves as an Assistant Professor of Nursing and is actively engaged in advancing research, education, and clinical care for patients with complex chronic illness.
